Gameplay

NOTE: The information in this section is presented similar to a game manual and is rather exhaustive. For just the essentials, check out the Quick Reference Guide instead.

Intro

Fate is a sort of RPG + gacha game played via Discord. Can think of it similar to an old school text adventure where you type in commands to trigger actions and interactions.

You are a tiny in a world of giant boys. Roll for a master to find and take possession of you. Once enslaved you have a choice: serve diligently or attempt an escape. But be warned: they can be merciless with their punishments should they catch you.

Collect points by serving. Points can be spent on various "rigs" to buff yourself or sabotage others. Additionally, points can be donated to the Best Boy Leaderboard.

Masters

You can't really do much without a master! Use the /master new command to get one!

You can check your current master at any time by using /master who.

Once you have a master you'll be with them until you successfully escape, die trying, or are abducted or killed.

You can check out the full list of possible masters here. Master assignment is governed by these roll odds.

Best Boy

After you've checked out the list, there's probaby a boy on there that you like the most. In Fate, that's called your Best Boy! Use /master bestboy <name> to make it official!

Picking a Best Boy unlocks additional perks such as double Fate Points from activites like serving and increases your odds of seeing them again.

Lastly, you can check your progress with the /master progress command, which shows how many of the total you've been enslaved by. Additionall, you can use /master history to see how many times each master has enslaved you.

Fate Points

Fate Points are the in-game currency. They can be used to purchase buffs/advantages, skip cooldowns, and more!

You earn Fate Points primarily by serving your master. But they can also be rewarded as perks for other various actions.

Serving

Serving your master is a great way to get on their good side! Use the /master serve command to start serving them.

You can serve your master as many times as you want. Each time you do you will be awarded 50 Fate Points or 100 Fate Points if your current master is your Best Boy.

Serving also has an additional effect of slighty increasing your odds of escaping with each time. So, if you really want to get away, better serve them a few times first!

Lastly, while serving your master you gain increased defense against attacks.

Escaping

Tired of your master or just feeling daring? You can attempt an escape using the /master escape command. Escape attempts are either Successful or Failures. All enslaved players have an escape chance value which will affect the odds of success.

Successful Escape

A successful escape will set you free! You'll then be able to roll for a new master and continue your progress.

Failed Escape

Failed Escapes are... not fun. The masters have very little patience for insubordinate tinies and there will be consequences as a result.

There are four possible consequences from a failed escape. See here for their odds.

Consequence Description
Punishment You'll be punished with a random scenario for 6 hours. You cannot do anything while being punished.
Eaten You get swallowed whole and are left to digest in your former master's stomach. Eventually, you die.
Killed You are disposed of swiftly and fatally. Crushed, stomped, or something even more creative.
Traded Troublesome tinies might just not be worth the hassle. Your master has decided to swap you with another tiny enslaved by a different master. The other trade victim is chosen at random.

Rigs

Rigs are items or perks that can be purchased using your accumulated Fate Points! There are three types of rigs:

  1. Buffs
  2. Attacks
  3. Misc.

Buffs

Buffs are certain perks that apply to you and either come with passive benefits or can be redeemed by certain actions.

The current buffs are:

Buff Cost Description
Short Shield 100 Gives you +75 defense against attacks for 1 hour.
Long Shield 750 Gives you +50 defense against attacks for 12 hours.
Max Escape 500 Your next escape attempt will have a fixed 80% chance of success. That's higher than the normal maximum!
Timeskip 500 Your current serving or death countdown is currently set to 0! NOTE: Timeskip cannot skip past the digestion timer.

Attacks

Attacks are certain actions that you take against other players to sabotage them in various ways!

Be careful, though! Attacks are not guaranteed to succeed. Attack success is based on these factors, namely if the target is currently serving their master or they have a shield equipped.

The current attacks are:

Attack Cost Description
Hinder 500 Resets the victim's odds of escape back down to 0!
Weaken 500 Causes the victim to lose 50 defense from their current total. Affects only the next attack against them.
Break 500 Removes the victim's short shield!
Pacify 1000 The victim will be unable to attack or the target of any attacks for 12 hours. Basically a way to sideline someone as a threat.
Abduct 1000 The victim will stolen by the user's current master and become enslaved by them. Works if the victim is free or enslaved, but not eaten nor dead.
Enslavement by abudction does not count towards your progress nor does it reward you any Fate Points.
Kill 1500 The victim will be killed by the user's master brutally and suddenly. They wont even see it coming.
Eat 1750 The victim will be eaten by the user's master. Just like the vore as a consequence, the timeskip rig will not work!

Misc.

There are a couple other rigs that aren't exactly buffs nor are they exactly attacks. They are:

Rig Cost Description
Duel Varies Dueling allows you to target another player and attempt to steal some points. It's basically a rock-paper-scissors. The point value stolen/given is equal to half the total of the person who initiates the duel.
Spit 300 Tired of your current master and want to send a message? You can spit in their face to be either immediately vored or killed. 50/50 shot.

Leaderboard

Every master has a devotion score which is used to determine their place on the Best Boy Leaderboard!

Fate Points can be spent to increase or decrease the devotion score of a particular master. Using /bestboy plus <amount> <master name> and /bestboy minus <amount> <master name> respectively.

You can check the current leaderboard rankings with /bestboy rank.

The top-ranked master on the leaderboard will have increased roll odds on assignment. So if you want everyone to experience your Best Boy's greatness, make sure to keep him at #1!

Once a week on Sunday at 17:00 UTC, the top-ranked master will have the server's banner set in their honor! So, make sure you get your timing right if it's a close race!

Lastly, once the weekly banner change happens, all of the devotion score are decayed by 25% towards zero. So, for example:

  • A score of 1000 will become 750
  • A score of -1000 will become -750
  • A score of 0 will stay 0
If the score is within 100 of zero, it'll be set directly to zero.

Forced Donations

If a tiny is killed by a master (either directly or via digestion), immediately upon death, half of their Fate Points are deducted and spent on the devotion score of the master that killed them.

This of course includes deaths resulting from failed escapes... but it also includes deaths from attacks like /rig eat and /rig kill.

So donations can of course be voluntary... or forced. You decide. :)

Quick Reference Guide

Commands

Arguments in [brackets] are optional. Arguments in <chevrons> are required.

Master

Command Description
/master new Roll for a new master, if you currently do not have one.
/master who [target] Look up your or a target's current master.
/master serve Start serving your master. Receive 50 points. 1 hour cooldown.
/master escape Attempt to escape your master, if you are currently unoccupied. Success will set you free. Failure will result in consequence.
/master history [target] See your or a target's past rolled masters and the number of times they've had possession of you. (Only counts rolls; not attacks including abduction.)
/master progress [target] See how many of the masters have captured you or the target. (Only counts rolls; not attacks including abduction.)
/master bestboy [target] [master name] Set or check a Best Boy. If neither argument is provided, you will be shown your set Best Boy. Target another player to see their set Best Boy. Provide a master name to set your Best Boy as that master.

Rigs

Command Cost Description

/rig duel <target> N/A Duel another player for points. Must have at least 200 points to play.
Possible outcomes:
  1. Steal half your current points amount from from your target
  2. Lose half your points to your target
/rig shield short 100 Give yourself +75 defense for 1 hour. Stacks with long shield.
/rig shield long 750 Give yourself +50 defense for 12 hours. Stacks with short shield.
/rig spit 300 Spit on your current master to instantly die.
/rig escape 500 Increase escape odds to 80% (+15 above normal maximum)
/rig timeskip 500 Immediately end either your serving or death countdown. Does not work for the digestion countdown.
/rig hinder <target> 500 Reset target's escape odds back to 0.
/rig weaken <target> 500 Lower the target's defense stat by 50 points for the next attack.
/rig break <target> 500 Remove your target's short shield.
/rig pacify <target> 1000 Render your target unable to attack and invulnerable for 12 hours. Cannot be used on yourself.
/rig abduct <target> 1000 Have your master abudct the target and enslave them, even if they have a master presently.
/rig kill <target> 1500 Have your master kill the target.
/rig eat <target> 1750 Have your master eat the target.

Probabilities

Successful Escape

Increase odds by:

Waiting+1% per hour. Max +24.
Serving+5–10% per serve. Max +40.
/rig escape80% for next attempt only.

Master Assignment

Master odds are based on their chance value which are compared relatively for determining roll odds. Masters with higher values are more likely; those with lower values are less likely.

By default, all masters start with a chance value of 1. This means, for your first roll, all masters are equally likely.

Already-seen masters are down-weighted so they happen less often, but not never. Each time you see a master, their chance value is multiplied by 1/10.

If you have a Best Boy set, their chance value is fixed at 1, no matter how many times you have seen them before.

The top-ranked master on the leaderboard has their chance value fixed at 1.

Attack Resistance

The defense stat of a player determines the odds of a successful attack against them. Odds of the attack failing are simply <stat>/100.

By default, all users have a defense stat of 0 i.e. no attack resistance. The defense stat can be modified in the following ways:

The stats all stack even if they go above 100. So,

  • A serving user with a short shield has 75 defense
  • A user with a short and long shield has 125 defense
  • A weakened user has -50 defense
  • etc.
